River and weather conditions permitting, we are running every weekend and Bank Holiday through to October.

We now offer mid-week private two-hour cruises with a qualified skipper and crew - just £120 for up to eight passengers.

Bring your own food and drink to celebrate that special occasion or just enjoy the quiet and tranquility of a gentle cruise on a river steeped in history.

Email info@sunburyferry.co.uk to book.

We currently have some places available for new volunteers - please enquire at: info@sunburyferry.co.uk

Our Partners and Supporters

The Sunbury Ferry Community Project has only been possible thanks to the very generous support of many local community organisations. Even then, an initiative of this complexity couldn’t succeed without the added support of many individuals, too numerous to name, who have also generously given of their time, expertise and guidance.

We are indebted to the following:

Spelthorne Borough Council (SBC)

The prime driving force behind getting this project financially and practically viable has been the commitment, ambition and determination of the Councillors, Officers and Community Representatives of the SBC River Thames Task Group.

Middle Thames Yacht Club (MTYC)

The MTYC has been key to the project’s viability through their generous provision of moorings for the Sunbury Ferry.

Lower Sunbury Residents’ Association (LoSRA)

LoSRA has championed a local crossing of the River Thames at Sunbury for many years and is supporting the Sunbury Ferry Project by financially covering the costs of building and maintaining this website.

Halliford School

Halliford School is a keen supporter of the ferry project through providing meeting facilities and generously funding protective clothing for the ferry volunteers. It is planned to build on our links with the school by engaging with the students through volunteering and curriculum based projects.
